Harbor Technology and ASCE Ports 2010 Conference

Alan Potts and Erik Grimnes hosted a booth in Jacksonville for the ASCE Ports Conference . I was glad to have them come to Florida and conference seemed to very successful !!

Harbor Technology displayed their composite piling line and composite bridge beams. Harbor Technology is located in Maine . Harbor Technology utilizes University of Maine's AEWC lab for their testing.

Harbor Technology  has manufactured composite pilings all the way to 36" diameter  to 103 feet in length without any splices. Also a HDPE sleeve can also put on the composite piling for extra protection..

Advantages of Composite Piles:
Light weight
High strength-to-weight ratio
Directional strength
Corrosion & weather resistance
Dimensional stability
Low thermal conductivity
Low coefficient of thermal expansion
Non-Magnetic
High impact strength
Low maintenance
Long term durability
Tailored surface finish

Special Thanks for Harbor Technology for coming to Florida.
